Ingredients

1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

8 ounces sliced turkey breast

4 ounces sliced cheese (Swiss or cheddar recommended)

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (optional)

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped (for garnish)

Salt and pepper to taste

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

Preheat the oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.

Prepare the crescent roll dough: Open the can of crescent roll dough and carefully unroll it. Separate the dough into individual triangles as indicated on the package.

Layer the ingredients: On each triangle of dough, spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard if using. Add 1-2 slices of turkey breast, followed by a slice of cheese, and season lightly with salt and pepper.

Roll them up: Starting at the wide end of the triangle, carefully roll the dough toward the pointed end, enclosing the turkey and cheese completely. Pinch the seams to ensure they’re sealed.

Prepare for baking: Place the rolled-up crescent bites on the prepared baking sheet seam-side down. Brush the tops with the beaten egg to give them a golden color as they bake.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and the cheese has melted.

Garnish and serve: Once baked, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly. Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley for a touch of color and flavor.

Enjoy: Serve warm as a delightful snack or a quick meal!
