Ingredients

8 oz linguine or fettuccine pasta

1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 lb sirloin steak, cut into thin strips

2 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

1/2 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust for spice)

Salt and black pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Zest of 1 lemon

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the linguine or fettuccine and cook according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of the pasta water.

Sear the Steak: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Season the sirloin strips with salt and black pepper. When the oil is hot, add the steak to the pan and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned and cooked to your liking. Remove from the skillet and let it rest.

Cook the Shrimp: In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink. Remove the shrimp and set aside.

Prepare the Sauce: In the skillet, add the cherry tomatoes and cook for 2-3 minutes until they soften. Lower the heat and pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine. Add the grated Parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes. Stir until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens slightly.

Combine Everything: Return the cooked steak and shrimp to the skillet. Toss everything in the sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add a bit of the reserved pasta water to reach your desired consistency. Stir in the lemon zest and season with salt and pepper to taste.

Mix with Pasta: Gently fold in the cooked linguine or fettuccine into the sauce, ensuring the pasta is well coated. Cook for another minute to allow all flavors to meld together.

Serve: Plate the Surf & Turf Pasta and garnish with chopped fresh parsley. Serve immediately with extra Parmesan cheese on the side.
