1 lb (450 g) breakfast sausage (pork or turkey)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup cream cheese, softened

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    Cook the Sausage: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausage until it’s browned and crumbled, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.

      Mix the Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage, shredded cheddar cheese, softened cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Mix until well incorporated and creamy.

        Prepare the Crescent Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough on a lightly floured surface. Separate the dough into individual triangles as per the package instructions.

          Fill and Roll: Place about a tablespoon of the sausage mixture at the wide end of each triangle. Roll the dough towards the point, folding in the sides slightly to secure the filling. Place each rolled crescent on the prepared baking sheet.

            Brush with Egg Wash: Use a pastry brush to lightly coat the tops of each crescent roll with the beaten egg. This will help them achieve a golden-brown color when baked.

              Bake the Rolls: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and puffed.
