Ingredients

1 lb (450g) beef sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain

2 tablespoons vegetable oil (divided)

1 bell pepper (any color), sliced

1 cup broccoli florets

1 medium carrot, julienned

1 cup snap peas, trimmed

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 inch fresh ginger, grated

3 tablespoons soy sauce (low-sodium preferred)

1 tablespoon oyster sauce

1 tablespoon hoisin sauce

1 teaspoon sesame oil

Salt and pepper to taste

2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Cooked rice or noodles for serving

Instructions

Prepare the Beef: In a mixing bowl, toss the thinly sliced beef with a pinch of salt and pepper. Let it marinate for about 10 minutes while you prepare the veggies.

Heat the Pan: In a large wok or skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated beef in a single layer. Sear for about 1-2 minutes until browned. Flip and cook for another minute. Remove from the pan and set aside.

Stir-Fry the Veggies: In the same wok, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Toss in the minced garlic and grated ginger, stirring quickly for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Add Vegetables: Add the sliced bell pepper, broccoli florets, julienned carrot, and snap peas to the pan. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until the veggies are tender-crisp.

Combine & Sauce It Up: Return the cooked beef to the pan. Pour in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and sesame oil. Stir everything together and cook for another 1-2 minutes until everything is well-coated in the sauce and heated through.

Serve: Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds. Serve the stir-fry over a bed of cooked rice or noodles for a complete meal.
