Ingredients

2 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 tablespoon olive oil

1/4 cup teriyaki sauce (store-bought or homemade)

1 cup cooked white or brown rice (or cauliflower rice for a lighter option)

1 cup steamed broccoli florets

1/2 cup shredded carrots

2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Optional: pickled ginger and nori sheets, for added flavor and texture

Instructions

Prepare the Salmon: Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper on both sides. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Cook the Salmon: Once the skillet is hot, add the salmon fillets, skin side down. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on the first side until crispy, then gently flip them over.

Add Teriyaki Sauce: Pour the teriyaki sauce over the salmon after flipping. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, basting with the sauce, until the salmon is cooked through and has a nice glaze.

Assemble the Bowls: In each bowl, place a generous serving of rice at the bottom. Top with steamed broccoli, shredded carrots, and the teriyaki-glazed salmon.

Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle sliced green onions and sesame seeds over the bowls. If desired, add pickled ginger and small strips of nori for extra flavor and texture.

Enjoy: Serve immediately while hot, enjoying the wonderful blend of flavors and textures!
