Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1 cup canned pumpkin puree

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)

1/2 cup vegetable oil

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake tin with paper liners.

Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg until well combined. Set aside.

Combine Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract. Beat with a hand mixer or whisk until smooth and creamy.

Combine Mixtures: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing on a low speed until just combined. Do not overmix!

Fold in Chocolate Chips: Gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the batter.

Fill Cupcake Liners: Evenly distribute the batter into the prepared cupcake liners, filling each about 2/3 full.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for about 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Cool: Remove the cupcakes from the oven and allow them to cool in the tin for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Frost (Optional): Once cooled, you can top the cupcakes with cream cheese frosting or your favorite frosting for an extra touch of sweetness.

Serve & Enjoy: Enjoy your Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cupcakes as a delightful treat for any occasion!
