Ingredients

1 lb ground chicken

1/2 cup fresh basil pesto

1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup breadcrumbs

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper, to taste

12 slider buns

1 cup arugula or spinach (for garnish)

Olive oil, for drizzling

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) as you prepare the sliders.

Mix the Chicken Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, basil pesto, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Use your hands to mix until all ingredients are well incorporated.

Shape the Patties: Divide the mixture into 12 equal portions and form into patties, about the size of the slider buns.

Cook the Patties: In a large skillet over medium heat, add a drizzle of olive oil. Once hot, place the chicken patties in the skillet. Cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side until they are golden brown and fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 75°C).

Assemble the Sliders: Once the patties are cooked, place each patty onto the bottom half of the slider bun. Top with a handful of arugula or spinach, then cover with the top half of the bun.

Bake the Sliders (optional): For an extra touch, you can place the assembled sliders in the oven for 5 minutes to lightly toast the buns and warm everything through.

Serve: Drizzle a bit of olive oil over the top, and serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce or a side of sweet potato fries.
