Ingredients
  

1 cup rolled oats

1/2 cup almond butter (or any nut/seed butter)

1/3 cup honey or maple syrup

1/4 cup chopped dark chocolate or chocolate chips

1/4 cup strawberry jam (or crushed freeze-dried strawberries)

1/4 cup cocoa powder

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 tsp salt

Optional: shredded coconut or crushed nuts for rolling

Instructions
 

In a large mixing bowl, combine rolled oats, almond butter, honey, and vanilla extract. Stir until well blended and you achieve a sticky mixture.

    Divide the dough into three separate bowls.

      In the first bowl, add cocoa powder and chopped dark chocolate; mix well to create the chocolate base.

        In the second bowl, incorporate the strawberry jam (or crushed freeze-dried strawberries) to make the strawberry layer. Mix until evenly combined.

          Leave the third bowl as it is for the original oat base flavor.

            Using your hands, take small portions (about 1 tablespoon each) from each bowl and roll them into balls. You can alternate between flavors or layer them – it’s up to your creativity!

              If desired, roll each energy bite in shredded coconut or crushed nuts for added texture.

                Place the formed energy bites on a plate or a parchment-lined baking sheet.

                  Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to set; they will firm up nicely.
