Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (basil, oregano, thyme)

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 cup chicken broth

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare Marinade: In a medium bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, dried Italian herbs, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.

Marinate Chicken: Place the chicken breasts in a resealable bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring each piece is well-coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and let it marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes (up to 2 hours for more flavor).

Sear the Chicken: In an oven-safe skillet, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, remove the chicken from the marinade (reserving the marinade) and add the chicken breasts to the skillet. Sear each breast for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.

Add Broth and Bake: Pour the reserved marinade and chicken broth into the skillet, bringing it to a gentle simmer. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (75°C).

Rest and Serve: Once cooked, remove the skillet from the oven and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
