Ingredients

2 ripe mangoes, diced

1 ripe avocado, diced

1 small red onion, finely chopped

1 red bell pepper, diced

1 jalapeño pepper, seeded and minced (optional for heat)

1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

Juice of 2 limes

Salt and pepper to taste

1 teaspoon honey (optional, for sweetness)

Instructions

Begin by preparing your ingredients. Dice the mangoes and avocado, chop the red onion and red bell pepper, and mince the jalapeño if using.

In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the diced mangoes, avocado, red onion, red bell pepper, and jalapeño.

Add the chopped cilantro to the bowl.

Squeeze the juice of two limes over the mixture. This will add freshness and help to prevent the avocado from browning.

Season with salt and pepper to taste. If you prefer a touch of sweetness, drizzle in the honey and mix well.

Gently fold all the ingredients together to combine, being careful not to mash the avocado.

Taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary, adding more lime juice, salt, or pepper according to your preference.

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or transfer the salsa to an airtight container. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Serve chilled with tortilla chips, tacos, or as a topping for grilled chicken or fish.
