Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (80/20 for flavor)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

4 slices of cheddar cheese

1 head of romaine or iceberg lettuce, leaves separated

1 medium tomato, diced

1 small red onion, thinly sliced

1 avocado, diced

Pickles (optional)

Mustard and mayonnaise (for serving)

Fresh herbs (like cilantro or parsley) for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Beef Patties: In a bowl, combine the ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined. Form the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties.

Cook the Patties: Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover the grill or skillet to melt.

Assemble the Lettuce Cups: While the patties are cooking, prepare the lettuce cups by rinsing and drying the lettuce leaves. Lay the leaves on a plate, ready for assembly.

Add the Toppings: Once the patties are cooked and the cheese is melted, place each patty inside a lettuce leaf. Top with diced tomatoes, sliced red onions, avocado, and pickles if using.

Dress It Up: Drizzle mustard and mayonnaise over the assembled burgers. You can also add fresh herbs for an extra touch of flavor.

Serve: Carefully fold the lettuce over the fillings, like a taco, and serve immediately. Enjoy your delicious low-carb cheeseburger lettuce cups!
