Ingredients

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 bunch asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 medium lemon, juiced and zested

4 tablespoons olive oil, divided

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

Prepare the Shrimp: In a large bowl, combine the shrimp with half the olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Toss well to coat and let marinate for about 15 minutes.

Sauté Asparagus: In a large skillet, heat the remaining olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chopped asparagus and sauté for about 4-5 minutes until tender-crisp. Season with salt and pepper. Remove the asparagus from the skillet and set aside.

Cook Shrimp: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Add the marinated shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until the shrimp are pink and opaque.

Combine: Return the sautéed asparagus back to the skillet with the shrimp. Toss everything together gently to combine. Adjust seasoning with more salt and pepper if needed.

Serve: Remove from heat and garnish with chopped fresh parsley. Serve hot, with extra lemon wedges on the side for drizzling.
