Ingredients

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

½ cup crumbled cooked bacon

3-4 fresh jalapenos, finely chopped (seeds removed if less heat is desired)

¼ tsp garlic powder

¼ tsp onion powder

½ tsp smoked paprika

4 large flour tortillas

Fresh cilantro or green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, chopped jalapenos, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Mix thoroughly until well combined and creamy.

Assemble the Pinwheels: Lay one tortilla on a clean surface. Spread about ¼ of the jalapeno filling evenly over the tortilla, leaving a small border around the edges to prevent overflow.

Roll It Up: Starting at one end, carefully roll the tortilla tightly into a cylinder. Make sure to keep the roll as tight as possible for neat slices. Repeat this process for the remaining tortillas and filling.

Chill and Set: Wrap each rolled tortilla in plastic wrap and place them in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to firm up the filling, making slicing easier.

Slice the Pinwheels: Once chilled, remove the tortillas from the refrigerator and unwrap. Using a sharp knife, slice each roll into 1-inch thick pinwheels.

Serve: Arrange the pinwheels on a serving platter and garnish with fresh cilantro or chopped green onions if desired. Serve immediately or cover and keep chilled until ready to serve.
