Ingredients

1 block (14 oz) firm tofu, drained and pressed

3 tablespoons honey (or maple syrup for vegan option)

2 tablespoons Sriracha sauce

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 tablespoon sesame oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated

1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)

2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Fresh lime wedges (for serving)

Cooking spray or oil for grilling

Instructions

Prepare the Marinade: In a medium bowl, whisk together honey, Sriracha sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger until well combined. This will be your flavor-packed marinade.

Slice the Tofu: Carefully cut the pressed tofu into 1/2-inch thick slices or cubes, making sure they remain intact for grilling.

Marinate the Tofu: Place the sliced tofu in a shallow dish or zip-top bag. Pour the marinade over the tofu, ensuring each piece is well coated. Cover or seal, then refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for best flavor absorption.

Preheat the Grill: Preheat your grill or grill pan on medium-high heat. If using a grill pan, lightly oil the surface with cooking spray or a paper towel dipped in oil to prevent sticking.

Grill the Tofu: Remove the tofu from the marinade (reserve the marinade) and arrange the slices on the grill. Grill for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until you achieve a lovely char and grill marks. Baste with the reserved marinade during the last minute of grilling for extra flavor.

Garnish and Serve: Once grilled, remove the tofu from the grill and transfer it to a serving platter. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and sliced green onions. Serve with fresh lime wedges on the side for squeezing over.

Enjoy: This Honey Sriracha Grilled Tofu is delicious on its own or served over rice or quinoa, topped with your favorite veggies. Drizzle with additional Sriracha sauce for an extra kick if desired.
