To achieve the perfect Charcuterie Delight Pizza, begin by preheating your oven to the highest temperature, usually around 475°F (245°C) or even higher if your oven allows. A hot oven is essential for creating a crisp crust that’s both chewy and flaky. The intense heat allows the dough to puff up quickly, giving it that beautiful texture that pizza lovers crave. If you’re using a pizza stone, place it in the oven while it preheats to ensure it reaches the desired temperature. This will help achieve a crust that is perfectly cooked on the outside while remaining soft and airy on the inside.

Ingredients

1 pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

1 cup marinara sauce or pizza sauce

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup sliced salami

1/2 cup thinly sliced prosciutto

1/2 cup sliced pepperoni

1/4 cup crumbled goat cheese

1/4 cup black olives, sliced

1/4 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped

1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped

Olive oil, for brushing

Salt and pepper, to taste

Optional: arugula for garnish

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If you have a pizza stone, place it in the oven while it preheats.

Prepare Dough: If you’re using homemade pizza dough, roll it out on a lightly floured surface to your desired thickness (about 12 inches in diameter). If using store-bought, follow the package instructions for de-thawing and rolling out.

Transfer to Baking Sheet: Transfer the rolled-out pizza dough to a pizza peel or a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. If using a pizza stone, ensure it remains heated.

Sauce It Up: Spread the marinara or pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving about a half-inch border around the edges.

Add Cheese: Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce, covering it completely.

Layer the Charcuterie: Begin layering your charcuterie ingredients. Start with the salami, followed by prosciutto, pepperoni, and evenly distribute the black olives and cherry tomatoes.

Finish with Cheese: Crumble the goat cheese on top of the loaded toppings for an added creamy texture.

Season and Brush: Sprinkle the chopped rosemary and basil over the pizza. Brush the edges of the crust with a bit of olive oil, and season the pizza with salt and pepper to taste.

Bake the Pizza: Carefully slide the pizza onto the preheated pizza stone or place the baking sheet in the oven. Bake for about 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling.

Garnish & Serve: Once baked, remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a minute. If desired, top with fresh arugula. Slice and serve hot!
