Ingredients

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 lb)

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper, to taste

4 whole wheat pita breads

1 cup Greek yogurt

2 tablespoons lemon juice

1 teaspoon fresh dill, chopped (or ½ teaspoon dried dill)

1 small cucumber, diced

1 medium tomato, diced

1/2 red onion, thinly sliced

1/2 cup feta cheese, crumbled

Fresh spinach or arugula, for filling

Instructions

Marinate the Chicken: In a large bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken breasts to the bowl and coat them well. Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes (or up to 2 hours for more flavor).

Cook the Chicken: Preheat your grill or a grill pan over medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade and place it on the grill. Cook for about 6-7 minutes per side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing into strips.

Prepare the Tzatziki Sauce: In a bowl, combine Greek yogurt, lemon juice, dill, diced cucumber, salt, and pepper. Mix well until smooth and refrigerate for at least 10 minutes to let the flavors blend.

Assemble the Wraps: Take a whole wheat pita and carefully open it to create a pocket. Start by placing a generous amount of fresh spinach or arugula inside. Follow with sliced grilled chicken, diced tomatoes, red onion, and crumbled feta cheese.

Add Tzatziki Sauce: Drizzle the homemade tzatziki sauce generously over the fillings in the pita.

Serve and Enjoy: Carefully close the pita wrap and serve immediately, or wrap them in foil for on-the-go lunches.
