Ingredients

1 lb ground turkey

1 cup canned green chilies, drained and chopped

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)

1/4 cup finely chopped red onion

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)

Salt and pepper, to taste

1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

1 large egg

8 slider buns

Sliced avocado (for topping)

Sliced jalapeños (optional, for extra heat)

Lime wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Mix the Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, green chilies, breadcrumbs, red onion, garlic, cumin, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, pepper, cilantro, and the egg. Use your hands or a spatula to mix until everything is thoroughly combined but avoid overmixing.

Form the Patties: Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and shape them into small sliders, about 1/2 inch thick.

Preheat the Grill or Skillet: Heat a grill or a skillet over medium heat. If using a skillet, add a small drizzle of olive oil to prevent sticking.

Cook the Sliders: Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) and they are golden brown.

Prepare the Buns: While the sliders are cooking, lightly toast the slider buns on the grill or in a toaster for added texture.

Assemble the Sliders: Once the sliders are cooked, place each patty on the bottom half of a slider bun. Top with sliced avocado and jalapeños if desired. Cap them with the top half of the bun.

Serve: Serve the sliders warm with lime wedges on the side for squeezing over the top.
