At the heart of this recipe lies plain Greek yogurt, a key ingredient that provides both creaminess and a significant protein boost. Greek yogurt is lower in sugar compared to traditional yogurt and is renowned for its rich probiotic content, which promotes gut health. Probiotics are beneficial bacteria that support digestive health and can help balance the gut microbiome. The high protein content in Greek yogurt also aids in muscle repair and satiety, keeping you fuller for longer. Ingredients

1 cup plain Greek yogurt

2 tablespoons matcha powder

2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (adjust based on sweetness preference)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)

1/4 cup granola (optional, for added crunch)

Mini muffin tin or ice cube tray

Instructions

Prepare the Berry Mixture: In a small bowl, combine your mixed berries. If you like them sweeter, you can lightly mash them with a fork and add a teaspoon of honey.

Prepare the Yogurt Mixture: In a separate bowl, whisk together the Greek yogurt, matcha powder, honey (or maple syrup), and vanilla extract until smooth and well combined. Make sure there are no lumps of matcha powder left.

Layer the Ingredients: If using a mini muffin tin, add a small spoonful of the berry mixture at the bottom of each compartment. Then, carefully spoon the matcha yogurt mixture over the berries, filling each compartment to about 3/4 full. If using an ice cube tray, follow the same layering process.

Add Granola (Optional): For some extra texture, sprinkle a little granola on top of each yogurt bite.

Freeze: Place the muffin tin or ice cube tray in the freezer and freeze for at least 4 hours or until the yogurt bites are fully solid.

Serve: Once frozen, gently pop the yogurt bites out of the tin or tray. You can let them thaw for a few minutes for easier removal. Enjoy them immediately or store them in an airtight container in the freezer for up to a month.

Tip: These bites are perfect as a refreshing snack or healthy dessert. Feel free to experiment with other fruits or even add nuts for more variety!
