Ingredients

4 cups fresh baby spinach

2 cups strawberries, hulled and sliced

1/2 cup sliced almonds, toasted

1/4 cup feta cheese, crumbled

1/4 red onion, thinly sliced

1/2 cup fresh basil leaves, torn

1/4 cup balsamic vinaigrette

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Prepare the Spinach: Start by thoroughly washing the baby spinach under cold water. Spin dry in a salad spinner or pat dry with paper towels, then transfer to a large salad bowl.

Slice the Strawberries: Hull the strawberries and slice them evenly. Add them to the bowl with the spinach.

Toast the Almonds: In a small skillet over medium heat, toast the sliced almonds for about 3-5 minutes or until they're golden brown. Stir frequently to prevent burning. Once done, let them cool slightly before adding to the salad.

Add Additional Ingredients: To the spinach and strawberries, add the sliced red onion, crumbled feta cheese, and torn basil leaves.

Dress the Salad: Drizzle the balsamic vinaigrette over the salad. Gently toss all the ingredients together until everything is evenly coated.

Season to Taste: Sprinkle with salt and freshly ground black pepper as desired. Give it one last gentle toss.

Serve: Transfer the salad to a serving platter or individual plates. Garnish with a few extra strawberries and almonds if desired, then serve immediately.
