Ingredients

2 cups water

2 black tea bags (or 2 tablespoons loose leaf black tea)

1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy, such as almond or oat milk)

2 tablespoons vanilla extract

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

2-3 tablespoons sugar or sweetener of choice (adjust to taste)

A pinch of salt

Optional toppings: whipped cream, a sprinkle of cinnamon, or vanilla flakes

Instructions

Boil Water: In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil over medium-high heat.

Brew Tea: Once the water is boiling, remove it from the heat. Add the black tea bags or loose leaf tea (in a tea infuser) to the water. Let it steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on your desired strength.

Heat Milk: While the tea is steeping, in another saucepan, heat the milk over low-medium heat. Do not let it boil; you just want it to warm through. Stir gently to prevent scalding.

Add Flavorings: Once the milk is heated, whisk in the vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, sugar, and a pinch of salt until well combined. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.

Combine Tea and Milk: After the tea has steeped for your desired time, remove the tea bags or filter out the loose-leaf tea. Pour the hot tea into the milk mixture and stir gently to blend everything together.

Serve: Pour the vanilla cinnamon milk tea into your favorite mugs. If desired, top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon for an extra treat.

Enjoy: Sip and savor the deliciously warm and comforting flavors of this delightful beverage!
