Ingredients

8 oz (225 g) spaghetti or your favorite pasta

1 lb (450 g) ground beef

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 medium onion, finely chopped

1 red bell pepper, diced

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

1/2 cup beef broth

1/2 cup heavy cream

1 tsp Italian seasoning

1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional for heat)

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tbsp olive oil

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh basil, for garnish

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Sauté Vegetables: In a large skillet over medium heat, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Once heated, add the chopped onion and diced red bell pepper. Sauté for about 4-5 minutes until soft and translucent.

Brown the Beef: Add the ground beef to the skillet with the sautéed vegetables. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 6-8 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.

Add Garlic and Seasonings: Stir in the minced garlic, red pepper flakes (if using), Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant.

Create the Sauce: Pour in the beef broth and cherry tomatoes. Stir to combine, then let simmer for about 5 minutes. After the tomatoes start to soften, reduce the heat and add the heavy cream. Mix well and let the sauce simmer for another 3-4 minutes.

Combine Pasta and Sauce: Once the sauce has thickened slightly, add the drained spaghetti to the skillet. Toss everything together until the pasta is well coated with the sauce. Adjust seasoning if needed.

Serve: Plate the pasta, and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese. Garnish with fresh basil leaves for an aromatic finish. Enjoy your delicious garlic beef pasta!
