Ingredients

4 medium dill pickles (preferably refrigerated for crunch)

1 cup finely crushed cornflakes (or panko breadcrumbs for extra crunch)

½ cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

½ tsp smoked paprika

½ tsp black pepper

½ tsp salt (or to taste)

Cooking spray or olive oil for misting

Instructions

Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). This ensures your chips will crisp up perfectly!

Prepare the Pickles: Slice the dill pickles into ¼-inch thick chips. Pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture—this helps with crispiness.

      Set Up a Breading Station:

        - In one shallow bowl, place the all-purpose flour mixed with a pinch of salt.

          - In a second bowl, whisk the eggs until well beaten.

            - In a third shallow bowl, combine the crushed cornflakes (or panko) with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt.

              Bread the Pickles:

                - Dip each pickle slice first into the flour, shaking off any excess.

                  - Next, dip it into the beaten eggs, ensuring it’s fully coated.

                    - Finally, coat the pickle chip in the cornflake mixture, pressing lightly to adhere the crumbs. Repeat for all pickle slices.

                      Air Fry the Chips:

                        - Arrange the breaded pickle chips in a single layer in the air fryer basket. If needed, do this in batches to avoid overcrowding.

                          - Lightly spray the tops with cooking spray or mist with olive oil to promote crispiness.

                            - Air fry at 400°F for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, or until golden brown and crispy.

                              Serve:

                                - Once cooked, carefully remove the chips from the air fryer and let them cool slightly. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce, like ranch or a tangy dill dip. Enjoy your crispy dill pickle air chips!
