Ingredients

12 square wonton wrappers

2 tablespoons olive oil (or sesame oil for extra flavor)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon sea salt

¼ teaspoon black pepper

Optional: pinch of cayenne pepper for a spicy kick

Optional: finely chopped scallions or sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

Prep the Wontons: Start by cutting each wonton wrapper diagonally to create triangles or leave them whole if you prefer larger chips.

Season the Oil: In a small mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, sea salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using). Mix until well combined.

Brush the Wontons: Lay the wonton triangles on a clean work surface. Using a brush or your fingers, lightly coat each side of the wonton wrappers with the seasoned oil mixture.

Air Fry: Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C). Place the wonton chips in a single layer in the basket (you may need to do this in batches). Be careful not to overcrowd them.

Cook: Air fry for about 4-5 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy. Keep an eye on them, as cooking times may vary depending on your air fryer model.

Cool and Garnish: Once cooked, remove the chips from the air fryer and let them cool on a wire rack. If desired, sprinkle with chopped scallions or sesame seeds for garnish.

Serve: Enjoy these crispy wonton chips as a standalone snack, or serve with your favorite dips like salsa, guacamole, or a tangy yogurt sauce.
