1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes

1 cup heavy cream

1 teaspoon sugar (optional)

Salt and freshly cracked black pepper, to taste

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 cup fresh basil leaves, torn

Extra fresh basil, for garnish

Additional grated Parmesan, for serving

Cook the Pasta:

    Begin by boiling a large pot of salted water. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve about 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.

      Sauté the Garlic:

        In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil. Once hot, stir in the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

          Add Tomatoes:
