Ingredients

1/2 cup unsalted butter

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1/4 cup creamy peanut butter

2 large eggs

2 large egg yolks

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Ice cream or whipped cream (for serving, optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and grease four custard cups or ramekins with butter and lightly flour them to prevent sticking.

Melt the Chocolate and Butter: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the unsalted butter and semi-sweet chocolate chips. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted and smooth. Be cautious not to burn the chocolate.

Mix in Peanut Butter: Stir in the creamy peanut butter until well blended into the chocolate mixture. Allow it to cool slightly.

Whisk Eggs and Sugar: In a separate large bowl, whisk together the eggs, egg yolks, and granulated sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

Combine Mixtures: Slowly pour the cooled chocolate-peanut butter mixture into the egg mixture, stirring continuously to combine. Add in the salt, vanilla extract, and flour, mixing just until incorporated. Be careful not to overmix.

Fill Ramekins: Divide the batter evenly among the prepared ramekins, filling each about 2/3 full.

Bake: Place the ramekins on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 12-14 minutes, or until the edges are firm but the centers are still soft and slightly jiggly.

Let Cool Briefly: Once done, remove the ramekins from the oven and let them cool for about 1 minute. Carefully run a knife around the edges to loosen, and then invert each cake onto a dessert plate.

Serve: Dust with powdered sugar and serve immediately with a scoop of ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream if desired. Enjoy the gooey chocolate-peanut butter center!
