1 cup pitted Medjool dates, packed

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 cup unsweetened shredded coconut, plus extra for rolling

1/4 cup maple syrup or agave nectar

1/4 cup coconut oil, melted

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon sea salt

Optional: 2 tablespoons chia seeds or hemp seeds for added nutrition

Prepare Ingredients: Begin by gathering all ingredients and measuring them out. If your dates are hard, soak them in warm water for about 10 minutes and then drain.

    Blend Base Ingredients: In a food processor, combine the almond flour, pitted Medjool dates, cocoa powder, shredded coconut, maple syrup, melted coconut oil, vanilla extract, and sea salt. If using, add the chia or hemp seeds as well.
