3 ripe bananas, mashed

1/3 cup melted butter

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar, packed

1 large egg, beaten

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon baking soda

Pinch of salt

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

For the Cinnamon Swirl:

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

1 tablespoon unsalted butter, softened

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

    Prepare the Banana Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork or potato masher until smooth. Stir in the melted butter until fully combined.

      Combine Sugars and Egg: Add granulated sugar, brown sugar, and the beaten egg to the banana mixture. Mix well after each addition to ensure everything is well combined.

        Add Vanilla and Dry Ingredients: Stir in the vanilla extract. In another bowl, mix the baking soda and salt with the flour. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, being careful not to over-mix. Just mix until the flour disappears.

          Incorporate Chocolate Chips: Gently fold in the chocolate chips, distributing them evenly throughout the batter.

            Prepare the Cinnamon Swirl: In a small bowl, combine the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Set aside.

              Layer the Batter: Pour half of the banana bread batter into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the batter followed by half of the softened butter.

                Repeat the Layers: Pour the remaining banana batter on top. Sprinkle the remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture over the top and finish with the rest of the softened butter.

                      Cool and Serve: Once baked, remove the banana bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and serve warm or at room temperature.
