Ingredients

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, thinly sliced

1 medium onion, sliced

1 green bell pepper, sliced

1 red bell pepper, sliced

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper, to taste

4 slices provolone cheese

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1/4 cup chicken broth

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

4 hoagie rolls or crusty buns (optional for serving)

Instructions

Sauté the Chicken: In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced chicken and season with paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is browned and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

Cook the Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Add the sliced onions and peppers, and sauté for about 5-6 minutes until they are soft and slightly caramelized. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.

Combine Ingredients: Return the cooked chicken to the skillet with the vegetables. Pour in the Worcestershire sauce and chicken broth. Stir everything together and let it simmer for about 2-3 minutes to meld the flavors.

Melt the Cheese: Reduce the heat to low and lay the provolone cheese slices over the mixture in the skillet. Cover the skillet with a lid for about 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and gooey.

Serve: Once the cheese is melted, remove the skillet from heat. Scoop the Chicken Cheesesteak mixture onto the hoagie rolls or buns (if using). Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and serve hot.
