Ingredients

1 large French baguette

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (or 1 tablespoon dried)

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Optional: Red pepper flakes, for added heat

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare the Bread: Slice the baguette in half lengthwise, ensuring to cut evenly for proper toasting. Place the halves on a baking sheet, cut side up.

Make the Garlic Butter: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.

Spread the Mixture: Generously spread the garlic butter mixture over each half of the baguette, ensuring an even coat to maximize flavor.

Add the Cheese: Sprinkle the shredded cheddar and grated Parmesan evenly over the garlic buttered bread halves. If desired, sprinkle some red pepper flakes on top for an extra kick!

Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown. For a crispier finish, broil on high for an additional 2-3 minutes, but keep a close eye to prevent burning.

Garnish and Serve: Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Slice the cheesy garlic bread into desired pieces, garnish with more fresh parsley if desired, and serve warm. Enjoy your Cheddar Bliss Garlic Bread!
