Cheesy Beef Noodle Casserole

12 oz egg noodles

1 lb ground beef

1 medium onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup bell peppers, diced (any color)

1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce

1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tablespoon olive oil

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with cooking spray or olive oil.

    Cook the Noodles: In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the egg noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

      Brown the Beef: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the olive oil. Once hot, add the diced onion and garlic, cooking for about 2-3 minutes until softened.

        Add Beef and Vegetables: Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart as it cooks. Once browned, stir in the diced bell peppers, cooking for an additional 3-4 minutes.

          Mix in Sauces: Lower the heat, then mix in the tomato sauce, cream of mushroom soup, Worcestershire sauce, and Italian seasoning. Stir until well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

            Combine with Noodles: In a large bowl, combine the cooked egg noodles with the beef mixture. Mix until the noodles are well coated with the sauce.

              Layer the Casserole: Transfer half of the noodle mixture to the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle 1 cup of cheddar cheese over the top, then layer the remaining noodle mixture. Top with the remaining cheddar and mozzarella cheese.

                Bake: Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

                  Garnish and Serve: Remove from oven and let cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving. Enjoy your cheesy creation!
