Ingredients

1 cup of granulated sugar

1/2 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder

1/4 teaspoon of salt

1/2 cup of sweetened condensed milk

1/4 cup of unsalted butter

1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract

1/2 cup of semisweet chocolate chips

1/2 cup of powdered sugar

1 tablespoon of milk

1/2 cup of heavy cream

Instructions

Prepare the Pan: Line an 8x8-inch baking dish with parchment paper, allowing some overhang for easy removal.

Make the Fudge Base: In a medium saucepan, combine the granulated sugar, unsweetened cocoa powder, and salt. Stir thoroughly to mix.

Add Liquid Ingredients: Pour in the sweetened condensed milk and add the unsalted butter. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture comes to a gentle boil. Allow it to boil without stirring for about 5 minutes.

Add Chocolate and Vanilla: Remove the saucepan from heat. Stir in the semisweet chocolate chips and vanilla extract until the chocolate is fully melted and the mixture is smooth.

Pour into Pan: Quickly pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly. Allow it to cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes.

Prepare the Ganache: In a small saucepan over low heat, combine the heavy cream and powdered sugar. Stir until the mixture is warm and smooth. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

Glaze the Fudge: Once the fudge is cool, pour the ganache over the top, spreading it evenly to cover the entire surface. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set completely.

Cut and Serve: Once chilled and set, lift the fudge out using the parchment paper overhang. Cut into squares and serve. Enjoy your delicious Boston Cream Fudge!
