Ingredients

1 cup raw almonds

1 cup raw cashews

1 cup raw pecans

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon chili powder

1 teaspoon sea salt

1 tablespoon maple syrup (optional for a touch of sweetness)

A sprinkle of cayenne pepper (optional for heat)

Instructions

Prep the Nuts: In a large mixing bowl, combine the raw almonds, cashews, and pecans.

Make the Seasoning Mix: In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, smoked paprika, ground cumin, garlic powder, chili powder, and sea salt. If you’re using maple syrup and cayenne pepper, add them to the mix as well.

Coat the Nuts: Pour the seasoning mixture over the mixed nuts. Toss thoroughly until all the nuts are evenly coated with the spice blend.

Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes.

Air Fry the Nuts: Place the seasoned nuts in the air fryer basket in a single layer. You may need to work in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.

Cooking Time: Air fry the nuts for about 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning, as nuts can go from toasted to burnt quickly.

Cooling: Once they are golden and aromatic, remove the nuts from the air fryer and let them cool on a baking sheet. The nuts will continue to crisp as they cool.

Serve and Enjoy: Transfer the cooled spiced mixed nuts to a serving bowl. They make a great snack for parties, movie nights, or as a healthy on-the-go treat!
