1 lb (450g) fresh salmon fillet, skinless and boneless

1/4 cup teriyaki sauce (store-bought or homemade)

2 tablespoons cornstarch

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon ginger powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional for garnish)

2 green onions, finely chopped (optional for garnish)

Instructions
 

Prepare the Salmon: Cut the salmon fillet into bite-sized cubes, approximately 1-inch pieces. Place the salmon pieces in a bowl.

    Marinate: Pour the teriyaki sauce over the salmon pieces, ensuring they are well-coated. Allow the salmon to marinate for at least 15 minutes to absorb the flavors.

      Coat with Cornstarch: After marination, transfer the salmon to another bowl or plate. Sprinkle the cornstarch evenly over the salmon cubes. Gently toss to coat each piece thoroughly, which will help achieve that crispy texture.

        Season: In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, garlic powder, ginger powder, salt, and black pepper. Drizzle this mixture over the coated salmon and toss again to ensure an even coating.

          Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.

            Arrange in Air Fryer: Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Arrange the salmon bites in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Make sure there’s space between each piece for proper air circulation. You may need to cook them in batches, depending on the size of your air fryer.

              Air Fry: Cook the salmon bites in the air fryer at 400°F (200°C) for 8-10 minutes. Shake the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking. The salmon should be golden brown and crispy on the outside, while remaining tender and flaky on the inside.
