Air Fryer Cauliflower Tots

Ingredients
  

1 medium head of cauliflower (about 2-3 cups riced)

1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 cup almond flour (or regular flour)

1 large egg

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1/2 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

Cooking spray or olive oil for greasing

Prepare the Cauliflower: Start by cleaning and chopping the cauliflower into florets. Steam or microwave the florets until they’re tender (about 5-7 minutes). Drain any excess moisture and let it cool slightly.

    Rice the Cauliflower: Once cooled, use a food processor to pulse the cauliflower until it resembles rice or finely chopped grains. You can also use a box grater if you don’t have a food processor.

      Mix the Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine the riced cauliflower with mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, almond flour, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

        Shape the Tots: Take about a tablespoon of the mixture and shape it into a small tot or nugget form. Repeat this step until all the mixture is used up.

          Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.

            Air Fry the Tots: Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Arrange the cauliflower tots in a single layer (you may need to do this in batches depending on the size of your air fryer). Lightly spray the tops of the tots with cooking spray for an extra crispy texture.

              Cook Until Golden: Air fry the tots for 12-15 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time, until they are golden brown and crispy.

                Serve and Enjoy: Remove the tots from the air fryer and let them cool for a couple of minutes before serving. Enjoy them with your favorite dipping sauce!
